Telling Our Stories, Past and FutureAs the Coalition approaches its 40th-anniversary year, we invite you into a sustained conversation on the future of LGBT ministry and advocacy. To begin, we invite you to tell your stories about how the Coalition has made a difference. We continue to work to provide support for nearly 1,000 existing ONA churches and to reach the 4,000 other congregations in the UCC. And we are responding to calls to expand what 'Open and Affirming' means as we strive to include and advocate for all diversities and to empower ourselves to act for social change. We need you to be a part of this with all the time and energy and resources you can bring to our common ministry. Please consider making an offering to support this vital, unfinished work which is transforming lives. Letter from the Leadership Team Coalition elects new leadershipAt National Gathering 2011 in Tampa, Coalition members voted in favor of restructure and to elect new leadership. The new “Leadership Team” will launch a two-year churchwide consultation on the future of LGBT ministry and advocacy in the UCC, while at the same time securing the Coalition’s financial foundation to allow for an ambitious plan to strengthen and expand the Coalition’s Open and Affirming ministry.
