Mission

The Coalition provides support and sanctuary to all our lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender sisters and brothers, their families and friends; advocates for their full inclusion in church and society; and brings Christ's affirming message of love and justice for all people.

The United Church of Christ Coalition for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Concerns is officially recognized by the United Church of Christ as a related, self-created organization.

The work of The Coalition is focused on three primary areas:

• Develop a community organizing emphasis within The Coalition and among UCC groups and other external partners
• Build and expand relationships for support, community, and action for the purpose of:

Get Involved!

There are many ways to contribute to the growing work of The Coalition:
• Contact the national office
Donate your time, talent or treasure
• Become an ONA Consultant
Attend a local training or event
• Serve on the National Gathering planning committee
Lead a workshop
• Serve as a youth chaperone or chaplain
• Join a the ONA Advisory Committee, the YYA Advisory Committee, the Financial Stewardship Committee or others
• Tell others about The Coalition
• Ask your church to include The Coalition in your annual budget
• Staff a table at a Pride event or annual Conference meeting
• What’s your idea?

ASIST, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, will be offered by The Coalition's Youth and Young Adult Program.
