Local Organizers While The Coalition's staff and board are the most visible representatives of The Coalition, our work is dependent on dedicated volunteers around the country -- including you! Our Open and Affirming work is primarily at the local level -- with congregations, associations, conference, and other settings such as divinity schools or seminaries. Supporting your efforts in your local area is what The Coalition is all about. ONA consultants are volunteers around the country who have experience with the Open and Affirming (ONA) process and are available to resource congregations who are not yet ONA. Whether you need someone to provide a workshop or training opportunity -- or just need someone to brainstorm with you, ONA consultants are local people with who have been trained by The Coalition to help. The Coalition is also working hard with Youth and Young Adults. While some of this happens at regional and national youth events, there are youth and young adults all around us at the local level! The Coalition offers a variety of Youth and Young Adult Workshops -- led by staff and/or volunteers, which may be useful in your local efforts to empower young people and equip adults in supporting them. In addition, there is a quicklist of UCC Coalition chapter coordinators at the right of this page. To get involved on your local chapter level, please contact those coordinators or contact the national office. Handy Resources Coalition Council member Louise Green has offered you a document she produced on religious organizing for the Unitarian Universalists. Its concepts are strong and helpful. Click here to access it in MS Word format. Coalition and ONA Setting logos are available for your use on websites and on promotional materials for your events. Please read the style guide on this website and request logo files from the communications coordinator. You may request promotional materials from The Coalition national office.
